Innovations like Enhanced Geothermal Systems (EGS) are helping to unlock new geothermal resources, making it possible to harness energy from areas that were previously thought to be unviable. EGS involves creating artificial reservoirs by injecting fluid into hot rock formations, which can then be used to generate electricity. This technology has the potential to tap into a vast new frontier of geothermal energy, providing a cleaner and more reliable source of power.

As I reflect on my aunt’s words that day in Iceland, I’m struck by the magnitude of the impact that geothermal power solutions can have on communities and the planet. It’s a story of innovation, sustainability, and resilience – a testament to humanity’s ability to harness the power of the earth to create a better future for all.
