In this hypothetical utopia, the coastline is dotted with towering wind farms, their sleek, modern blades swooping and diving in perfect harmony with the ocean currents. The International Energy Agency (IEA) estimates that to limit global warming to 1.5°C, we need to deploy around 3,000 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2050.

It’s a lofty goal, but one that’s increasingly within our reach. As the technology continues to advance, and the industry invests in new innovation and infrastructure, we may yet find ourselves living in a world powered by the wind, where the air is clean, the oceans are healthy, and the future looks bright.
