Biomass, in simple terms, is organic matter – like wood, crops, and even municipal waste – that can be converted into energy. Of course, there are still significant challenges to overcome before biomass conversion technology can reach its full potential. The cost of establishing and operating biomass conversion facilities is still relatively high, and the availability of suitable biomass feedstocks can be a limiting factor. However, as the technology continues to evolve and economies of scale are achieved, the promise of biomass conversion tech becomes increasingly hard to ignore.

As we look to the future, it’s clear that biomass conversion technology has the potential to play a starring role in the transition to a carbon-neutral world.
